The Learning Resource Centre (LRC)
CIIMS (Christ Imperial Institute Of Management And Science) was established in the year 2009. It has always strived hard to meet the expectations of its users. With the increase in the number of students, faculty, academic programs and research activities, the LRC is engaged in providing the necessary facility to meet the requirements of all academic needs.
The LRC has implemented standard library management software to automate its sub-systems. The in-house operations such as cataloguing, circulation and serial control have been automated by using the software. The updating activities of resources are done on a regular basis. The online public access catalog of the LRC is operated both on intranet and internet. The LRC uses bar-code technology for computerized circulation system. Every document in the LRC bears a bar-code sticker that facilitates identification of document and the borrower in the circulation process. Similarly, all categories of users have bar-coded patron card.
